1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ZONN.ai (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and ZONN.ai (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Service.

By creating an account, submitting content, using our detection tools, participating in the community, or otherwise engaging with any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service. We reserve the right to verify age and may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.

2. Description of Service

ZONN.ai is an AI content detection platform that provides probabilistic analysis of text and image content to help users assess the likelihood that a given piece of content was generated by artificial intelligence. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • AI Detection Tool — Multi-model analysis of text and image content using machine learning models hosted on HuggingFace infrastructure. Results express a probabilistic confidence score, not a definitive determination.
  • Community Platform — A Reddit-style feed where registered users may submit content, participate in AI/Real voting polls, and engage with other community members through comments and reactions.
  • Game Mode (Gamez) — An interactive challenge where users attempt to distinguish AI-generated content from human-created content, using images sourced from third-party providers.
  • Social Media Content Extraction — Server-side extraction of publicly available content from supported social media platforms for the purpose of analysis. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to analyze any content submitted.
  • Browser Extension — A companion browser extension that allows users to analyze content encountered while browsing the web. The extension communicates with ZONN.ai servers and is subject to these Terms.
  • Shareable Analysis Results — Permanent, publicly accessible links to analysis results that users may optionally generate and share.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. Account creation and authentication are handled through Supabase Auth. You may register using a Google OAuth account or by providing a valid email address and password. By using a third-party authentication provider such as Google, you authorize us to access the account information provided by that service in accordance with its own terms of service and privacy policy.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized such activity.
  • Immediately notifying us at contact@zonn.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Ensuring that the information you provide when creating or updating your account is accurate, current, and complete.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their express authorization, impersonate any person or entity, or use a username that is offensive, misleading, or infringes upon third-party rights. We reserve the right to reclaim, modify, or require you to change your username at our sole discretion.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

“User Content” means any text, images, URLs, links, comments, votes, or other materials you submit, post, or otherwise make available through the Service. You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to the Service, you grant ZONN.ai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to submit the User Content to the Service.
  • Your User Content does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or rights of publicity.
  • Content submitted for analysis that originates from third-party platforms is analyzed in compliance with those platforms' terms of service and applicable law.
  • You will not submit User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.

Content submitted solely for analysis purposes (i.e., not posted to the community) is processed transiently on our servers and is not stored permanently. When a user chooses to publish an analysis result or submit a post to the community, that content may be stored and made publicly accessible.

ZONN.ai and its logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, and all related elements are the exclusive property of ZONN.ai. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

5. AI Detection Accuracy Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: All detection results produced by ZONN.ai are probabilistic estimates, not definitive factual determinations. The machine learning models underlying the Service are statistical in nature and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results. A high AI-likelihood score does not prove that content was generated by artificial intelligence, and a low score does not prove that content is human-authored.

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Detection results are expressed as confidence scores and should be treated as one data point among many, not as conclusive evidence of any fact.
  • Models may produce false positives (flagging human-created content as AI-generated) and false negatives (failing to detect AI-generated content), and their accuracy varies by content type, domain, language, and generation method.
  • Detection results must not be used as the sole basis for any consequential decision, including but not limited to academic integrity proceedings, employment decisions, content moderation actions, legal proceedings, or any determination affecting a person's rights or reputation.
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions made in reliance on ZONN.ai detection results. We expressly disclaim any liability arising from such decisions.
  • Model accuracy may degrade over time as AI generation technology evolves. We make no representations regarding the ongoing accuracy or reliability of the models.

6. Community Guidelines

The ZONN.ai community is built around good-faith engagement with AI content detection. When participating in the community, you agree to:

  • Cast AI/Real votes honestly based on your genuine assessment, not to manipulate community metrics or to defame individuals or organizations.
  • Submit posts that are relevant to AI content detection and that do not misrepresent the source or nature of the content.
  • Engage with other community members respectfully. Harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or any conduct that a reasonable person would find hostile or harmful is strictly prohibited.
  • Refrain from submitting content that depicts or promotes violence, explicit sexual content, child exploitation, or illegal activities.
  • Refrain from impersonating real individuals in submissions or comments in a manner intended to deceive.
  • Not coordinate with others to artificially inflate or suppress AI/Real vote counts or community rankings.
  • Not submit spam, unsolicited promotional content, or repetitive low-quality submissions.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, remove, or restrict access to any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these guidelines or is otherwise harmful to the community. Removal of content does not imply a finding of wrongdoing.

7. Prohibited Uses

In addition to the community guidelines above, you agree not to use the Service for any of the following purposes:

  • Circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with security-related features of the Service, including rate limiting, authentication, or access controls.
  • Scraping, crawling, spidering, or using automated means to extract data from the Service without our express written permission.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service, or attempting to discover the underlying source code, models, or algorithms.
  • Using the Service to build a competing product or service, or to benchmark or evaluate our detection models for competitive purposes without our written consent.
  • Introducing viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code into the Service.
  • Submitting content for analysis in excess of reasonable fair-use limits, or deliberately overloading our infrastructure through high-volume automated requests.
  • Using the Service to analyze private, confidential, or personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent.
  • Using detection results to make defamatory, fraudulent, or bad-faith claims about individuals, organizations, or their content.
  • Violating any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation in connection with your use of the Service.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZONN.AI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARE BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ZONN.AI IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $100).

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZONN.ai and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your access to or use of the Service.
  • Any User Content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Any claim that your User Content or your use of the Service caused damage to a third party.

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are obligated to indemnify us. You agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims. You will not settle any such claim without our prior written consent.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@zonn.ai or through any account deletion feature we provide. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice and at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or our community guidelines.
  • Conduct that we believe is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service.
  • Requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
  • Extended periods of account inactivity.
  • Technical, security, or legal reasons.

Upon termination, content you have posted publicly to the community may remain accessible unless you specifically request deletion. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation the AI Detection Accuracy Disclaimer, Intellectual Property provisions, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification sections.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where reasonably practicable, notify you via the email address associated with your account or through a prominent notice on the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after any change to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. We make no representation that the Service is appropriate or available for use in all locations. Access to the Service from territories where its content is illegal is prohibited.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at contact@zonn.ai with a written description of the dispute and your desired resolution. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that any legal action arising from or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction.

YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE MUST BE FILED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER SUCH CLAIM AROSE. CLAIMS NOT FILED WITHIN THIS PERIOD ARE PERMANENTLY BARRED.
